Windows 7 - Excel

How do you get numbers to type and ascend in order, ie 1, 2, 3 etc. It works if I type January, February, then click on the cross in the right hand corner and drag down, all the months appear, but not with numbers.

You may have to format the column as numbers first

I don't understand what you mean?

you type the first 2 numbers in, then highlight both the cells and a little square will appear in the bottom right corner of the highlighted cells, click on that and drag it downwards and it will fill as far as you drag it with ascending numbers.
