Hi, I have another excel question!!
I have some excel files that have tabs at the bottom, that bring up a different page within the same document (ie months of the year)
For some reason these tabs have disappeared on all my files and now my page seems to have an endless amount of rows... Does anyone know where the rest of my work has gone, and how I get it back.. It was there when I saved it last..
Thanks

are the sheets hidden?
try format-sheet-unhide
Is there a single (sheet 1) tab still there. If so, right click on it, then select Unhide other sheets
Otherwise, i recall you have to click somewhere on a bar either at the top or bottom of the sheet

Thanks for that, but just tried it and it doesnt work..!

no single sheet, just endless rows..
No expert but that sounds like file corruption to me.
Do you have a back-up / previous save ?
Question Author
yes.. ill have a look on that! Thanks

Aaaarh.. its not on the saved disc either...
You could check the Options/View/Windows options/sheet tabs. Check it is ticked. Just a guess.
Tools menu
Turn it off and on again.
I know it's a cliche but it sometimes works when photoshop goes doolally.
Tools/Options/Save may be worth setting up for the future.
Otherwise does it load ok in somone else's (same version) Excel ?
Question Author
sorry to seem really dumb, but I dont seem to have a Tools menu..

All of my excel files seem to be doing it, evan the ones on the usb memory stick
Maybe you have a different version of Excel than I. But there must be a menu with an "options" option in it somewhere along the top menu list. Check them all one at a time. See what you can find.

have just opened excel with a new page, and all the book pages are there.. just not in my saved files
Try a reboot. What harm can it do?
Hmmm.... maybe it is Excel rather than your data file, with the problem. Reboot the PC maybe ? If they are ok on someone else's PC maybe you could reinstall Excel from scratch.

I have and it really doesnt seem to be there at all.. its windows 07, which iv heard is a bit differant from the others..
Thank you for all you help btw
final silly suggestion, but I'm not great with excel I have to admit...
Did it jump to the right? Have you scrolled as far left as you can?
Ah I'm looking at Excel 2003 (version 11 ?) so there will be differences, but I figure if you have tabs then you should have options for them in some menu or other. But I could be wrong.

Not sure what else to suggest.
