There's is currently a bug in Answerbank. Just ignore it.
just on Firefox at the moment, apparently. A lot of people had trouble yesterday. It doesn't seem to have been fixed. The Ed swears there is no problem and AB isn't an attack site at all, but he would say that wouldn't he.
In all my years on the internet i have never seen the "Attack site" page, is this only exclusive to Answerbank?
What virus checker do you use KreepyKoo?
Because those pages are not telling it like it is, they are false.
Squarebear i honestly don't know, apart from using the internet my computer savvyness is nil.
Is this attack site messahe possibly linked to the adverts that seem to pop up selling you something associated with something you've typed?
no, it means a database somewhere has recorded that clicking on the site passes some sort of malware onto your computer. If you click on the bit that says something like 'Why is this warning issued?' you'll see the details. It appears the message is incorrect and can be ignored, so the Ed says.
I would guess that you have no antivirus prtoection software. This message is sent from yoru AV software to tell you if you are on dodogy sites. As you have no protection, you will get no warnings.

I would strongly suggest you get antivirus protection. Even a free one like AVG will suffice.
It will all prove fruitless..............AB is being brought to its knees by a crack team of Chinese hackers as retaliation for banning a harmless, inoffensive user.

I believe world domination will then ensue...........although the final game plan is a little hazy.
jack did you see this, which I put on a thread last night

Sigma - Have a look at the various threads in 'Suggestions'.

It's bothersome but not really troublesome and will hopefully be sorted out soon.
here's the Ed's latest assurance

It's a pain in the a*** having to click ignore this message all the while
I've switched to using Google Chrome where usually I use Firefox.
IE is also supposed to be unaffected.
Yes IE is working fine now
In Chrome, jno, clicking on your link immediately brings up the warning. There's irony!
Something about this AB attack just came to mind, of course it's just me thinking as my mind usually run away at times. Perhaps Firefox has improved their browser's security so this is a cautionary warning?
