I want to print an advert on a post card using as much of the space available on the card.I put the card size into the printer(which comes up larger on the monitor)Then fiddle about with the wording so that it is well spaced and all appears well on the preview BUT when I print out not all the wording is on the card....am I missing something?????????

See if you can print the wording on a plain piece of paper, then match it against the size of the card just to make sure of no sizing errors. I also find that sometimes my printer takes in card more slowly than paper, so the first line prints lower down on paper.
Have you checked your printer's margin settings? Also, sometimes you can specify "borderless" printing, which will enable printing right to the edge of the page.
Always been a bit of a dark art, printing set-ups. Good luck!
