Is it anything to worry about? I don't shop on the internet very often, I'm a bit paranoid. :)

Mr N have heaved/hove/hoven (?) the sopping carpet and it is now dangling over the pool wall, where I have liberally hosed it down, just hope the wild cats do not pee on it again!!!

Just seen the Michael Portillo prog in Russia, well I have to say ow it has changed since I was there, admittedly 7 yrs ago, and that was 2 yrs before they upgraded the trains. Our train was like a prison van, with guards swarming all over and locking all the doors, I was so frightened. The station we alighted from which was supposedly St Petersburg was nothing like that. St Petersburg was grey and wet and miserable (yes I loved it!) and it was August.the people were grey and miserable, nothing like in that proramme. The winter palace was the same and we were lucky enough to see the fabulous art works there, would love to go back.

been grey and windy here. We went out driving again to miss the local display and bought chips on the way home. Only friday and saturday to go and we should be through most of it. Hope the weather clears up as well then we can ease back to normality.

Morning all...here I is. The squeaking you might be able to hear isn't my front gate... the one I've had to fix (bodge) twice this week. Who needs a man?....it's me, almost every inch of me hurts big time stylie. It's all falling apart here, woe, woe and thrice woe. The good news is I got my hair done yesterday, so at least I'm woeful but zhuzhed. Thankfully she comes to me.

I'm pleased you had a good day with your friends at last shaney. Is it eggs with everything this week? Mine's scrambled please, I don't think my insides took kindly to last night's battered fish.

It was 20% off M&S site yesterday and I did find the strength to hit the submit button ...only a couple of fleece tops and some slippers, how sad. :) I'll have to get with it and buy some sparkly drawers....very nice woofy :)

Stop hoving neti, you'll do yourself a mischief. I found some cheap fleece throws on amazon, big sizes. Washing instructions - Hand wash. I think they must be made specially for Ibiza.

Weather - just started to rain. Not quite so cold tho', I was frozen to the bone on Wednesday, my hands and feet were like stone all day. Accu says high risk for 'itis so I'll blame them.

hello all dreadful noisy weather night last night, dogs hated it, consequently we were awake for most of the night. We have had coffee and taken in deliveries and sleep beckons I think......

Afternoon all, been busy busy busy. Bought a step ladder and some LED lights for kitchen. Unpacked all winter woolies and washed 3 loads of them, how many blk sweaters does an old woman need?, sorted all shoes and boots, then hoovered through, made a mince and pot lasagne, also washed all the bedding. Carpet is looking good, but have seen new ones for 89€ so may get one.

have just put the final load of dying in the machine, post dye wash, tumble dry and its done!

The dye here is dire, comes out all patchy, given up on it.

Its Dylon for using in the washing machine I use Neti and you have to have the right textile uptake of the dye varies massively. As I said, my covers have ended up striped which is not what i intended but looks good.
Hoping for a quiet night tonight as I am just too tired to go driving and nothing will be improved if I bend the car or worse. If the neighbouring children haven't had their fireworks on the night, they should be over early as they are little kids. How I used to party all night then go to work the next day I have no idea.

Is it still the little metal pots woofy? I've tried them but the colour faded very quickly. Tell me, do you pierce the pots and empty the colour into the machine, or do you put the whole pot in there? I've never known and waste half of it trying to open it to get it all out??

Neti its a plastic sachet full of powder, you dump it in the machine with 500 g of salt, put the clean stuff in to be dyed and run the machine, then you wash it then you dry it. Very easy.

i did nearly get caught out when i paused halfway to do my ordinary laundry. i was jus about to set it going when i thought i'd wipe round the seal. the fold was full of dye!

Still little aluminium pots here, useless!

Have just bought a nearly new M&S double duvet as sister will not sleep in a single bed with a single duvet, she has to have one size larger than the bed, so my blk wht bedding will be adjusted to fit! I normally wouldn't buy second hand but it's only for 9 days, and it is clean.

Also woofy our machines are not hot fill, so the dye lollops about for ages in cold water till it heats.
