Go into my computer or computer and you should find it there. Sometimes your computer has to download drivers to access it. Not really a computer expert!

It's a Toshiba, but does that matter? I only want to access it, not open it up
if it is connected via usb, try a different usb port
Are you saying it is not appearing?
You plug it in. You open Windows Explorer (assuming you are using MS Windows) and you see the drive that wasn't there before. Explorer it as you would any other drive.

If you don't see it there then there is a connection problem. May need a new lead, a new socket to plug into, a new driver is possible, or maybe the external drive is broken ?

Make sure the external drive is powered.

Got it now. Thanks Gav, thanks everyone
Desktop, My computer. Notice your other Hard drive(s), then plug it in... and it should appear.
I think mine was supposed to automatically do a back up but couldn't find out how to do it. So all I did was create a folder and copied and paste what I needed. Good luck!
