Changing broadband service provider
5 Answers
I was recently offered a good deal to go back to BT for phone calls and broadband. I am presently with Tiscali. When I called Tiscali to get my MAC, I asked about changes to my email. BT had said there was a possibility that I could keep my email address ([email protected]), but tiscali said that was not possible. But the man also said I would lose everything I had in my email - my contacts, the contents of my inbox and my sent items - everything. I used to view my email on the Tiscali website, but now I use Windows Mail. I stayed offline and went to my Windows Mail, and everything was there. That means it is on my hard disk, doesn't it? Surely that means I cannot lose it when I switch to BT? I spoke to BT and they did not seem sure. I could save everything somewhere else, but there's such a lot, and I don't want to do that if I don't have to. Does anybody out there know for certain what will happen when I change?
