E/mails to and from Editor AnswerBank
10 Answers
Judging from numerous postings in this section of AnswerBank, it would appear that the Editor often overlooks replying to e/mails. Cosequently, I am wondering what my position will be.
It is the case, I have written to the Ed on the fact that I receive e/mail notifications of answers to my questions posted in AB but , my Subscribed Threads are bereft of such reponses.; which they once were.
Accordingly, whilst awaiting a reply from the Ed to my communication dated 3rd April, I would be interested to know if other ABers are in a similar position............Ron.

Hi ron:
You are definitely not alone there. I too have suffered such similar frustration, most annoying I'm sure you'd agree?
My Threads have also been bereft of responses - grossly
irksome.
Anyway, Ron, glad to know I'm not the only subscriber in this predicament.
You know what they say: A problem shared is a problem halved!

Thanks paraffin for having halved my problem; and with dot.hawkes on-board that suggests a furher 50% reduction. However, if three are involved that must equate to thirty-three and a third percent.
My maths are really suspect. However, be it arithmetical or geometrical progression, I know that the position can never become zero until the Editor of AB takes note of matters and arranges to correct the position which prevails.
Best wishes folks........Ron

ahhh but you know what they say, expectation has to be greater than reality to create optimism, but then, a pessimist is someone with expectations lower than reality, the fraction there approaches zero but without reaching it, so, you never really give up hope, but an optimist, well, they believe in something better then reality i guess .
G'evening dot.......Thanks for your philosophical observations.
Perhaps now I should consult a head-shrinker because I am not sure whether I am an optimistic pessimist or a pessimistic optimist ; or just a plain fruit and nut case.
Please let me have your opinion. I always respect your good advice on matters .......Ron
