Black screen of death

we bought a sony ericsson expirea arc yesterday,we used it yesturday then put it on charge over night,this morning we have the black screen of death,nothing at all,except when you press the on button it vibrates a little.Any ideas,many thanks....Neil

Did it actually charge overnight? Is the charger plugged in properly?

yes we think so,it was plugged into the computer ,also when we plugged it into the mains charger it should still come on.it dosent.

Try taking the battery out and leaving it for a bit, then replace and charge from the mains - I've got a Nokia x6 and it's done this and/or frozen completely a few times. Usually taking the battery out then replacing it after a while does the trick. Also - does it say you can charge it with the computer? Some phones I've had do, but others don't.
