When I turn my computer on, I get a warning from something called Security Center saying I have all sorts of viruses and malware. I have other protectiion on my computer and when I run a scan with them they say there is nothing.
If I try and get rid of this site it just keeps coming back and saying I have to pay $79 for a package.
As the site is non activated I am unable to uninstall it from the computer as it is not really loaded, so how do I get rid of it please?

Run a full scan with malwarebytes while in safe mode...

You'll be best off using another computer to download the file in the link below and put it on a usb memory stick, or CD. Then start the computer with the problem in safe mode by switching it on and tapping the F8 key straight away. When you get the boot menu select safe mode with networking. Once the computer is started install malwarebytes from the USB stick, or CD and let it update (if you have a earlier version of windows than windows7 wireless won't work for this step, you'll need to connect by Ethernet cable). Once the program has installed and updated run a full scan with it and remove anything it finds.

Hi Chuck.....I haven't a problem such as carolegif has. However, purely out of interest I tried the link which you have given, only to receive a message that Server is unavailable.
.......My Browser is Firefox.

Ron.
Correction.......Server not found.
Grrrr, I copied and pasted it from one of my previous answers so the link didn't work...

Proper link

Hi again Chuck.......You've had a Grrr at yourself now you'll have one at me.

I can't see any difference in the 'set-out' of either of the links; but the second one works.

"I can't see any difference in the 'set-out' of either of the links; but the second one works. "
Under html it's possible to say "display x and link to y". When you paste a link into AB, the "X" that it displays is shortened using ellipsis (...). but the "Y" behind it is the true link, so it works.
Unfortunately that means that if you simply copy the link from the screen you are copying the "x" (i.e. the displayed text) rather than the "y", (i.e the true link).

So the first link that chuck posted says "display x and link to x" (where x is non-existent) and the second link lokks identical but says "display x and link to y" (where y is the true page address)
If your browser is like mine you can hover the mouse cursor over the link text that you can see and spot elsewhere what the actual link address is. The 2 are very different even if the text you see in the posts is the same.

Which is why a text copy messes up on long addresses.
Thanks rojash for your explanation....I'll never really comprehend fully the technicalities of computers; although I feel that I now understand the application in this instance....It's a matter of what's behind the printed format...A bit like a fitted carpet with different sections of underlay....The surface is identical without any indication of what lays beneath.

Ron.
