mp3 connection to hi fi.

i have just bought a new denon m39dab hi fi system which has a usb port at the front which says for all ipods and compatable mp3 players" however when i connect my creative mp3 player it recognises it, charges it but i can playback any music from it. its around 2 years old now if that makes any difference. thanks.

It also says it can only read FAT16 and FAT32 formatted devices, and can only play MP3 and WMA files.
Further:
"Only music files that are not copyright-protected can be played on
this set.
Contents downloaded from pay sites on the Internet are copyright
protected. Also, files encoded in WMA format when ripped from a
CD, etc., on a computer may be copyright protected, depending on
the computer’s setting"
