Now,please excuse me if this sounds a bit stupid, but it is a new world to me and I am testing the water so to speak. With a contract for a mobile phone, when the contract is up what happens with the phone? Is it mine to keep or does someone want it back,or do I pay beforehand?Assuming I get to keep the phone, can I then choose to
A.Use the phone with a sim only contract,
B.Does that contract have to stay loyal to the original provider?
C.Unlock the phone and become PAYG?

Or do most people just chuck 'em in the bin? LOL

Thanks
Aya

You can do whatever you like with your phone, it will be yours at end of contract, I usually sell mine and get a new one.
You can also use it on any network (it may need to be unlocked to change network) and yes you can go pay as you go or Sim only.

we sell our old mobile handsets on one of the sites like montezuma - better to get a couple of quid for them than to throw them in the bin.
