can anyone explain, help on this problem. Not sure it's the phone or provider. Any number of times my phone has stopped receiving calls, telling the person calling my number that the phone is off, or service unavailable. Even though the phone is on and working fine. So i missed a really important call yesterday because the person rang my mobile number and got that message, as number unobtainable, even though the phone is definitely on. This is the third time it's happened in the last couple of months, and don't know why, provider is orange and mobile samsung. Any idea of next step?

i have done that and it worked, but several times in the last few months a number of people have tried calling me on the mobile, i usually give that out as it's easier if i am out. who have finally left messages on the answer phone at home to say that they can't get through on my mobile as the message says it's not responding, even though it was on and working.
