I have just recieved an email from myself from hotmail, had a look in my outbox and there are numerous emails sent to people in my address book this morning which I hav not sent. I am presuming someone has hacked my account. In which case, how do they do it?, is my home pc safe? what do I need to do to sort it?

TIA

Changing your email password should stop this.
If you're already in, then there's not much you can do about it other than change your password to something stronger.
I have had this quite a few times, and had viagra emails sent to my parents! :-(
It's a bloody pain in the arse, but at least you're in. Hotmail aren't the quickest when it comes to helping you recover an email account!

Many thanks for the speedy replies. Signed in no problem and changed my password straight away.
Make sure you have "logged out all sessions" (at least that is what I would do in gmail) to make sure that the hackers are not still logged in elsewhere.
