i have a little problem here since getting an iphone 5. i have loads of music on my ipad which i put on there from i tunes on my laptop. this was all music from cd's that i already had rather than downloaded. since then i have had serious problems with my laptop and had to take it back to factory settings, thus deleting i tunes along with all the music i had on there. the music remains on the i-pad and i thought i could sync from the ipad back to the laptop, and then sync from the laptop to the i-phone. unfortunately all it will allow me to do is erase everything on the i-pad and effectively start again with the music which is in the new i-tunes, i.e. 3 songs of their choice. something about not being able to sync to more than one itunes or something like that. i cannot believe that i have to start again loading all my cd's so that i can get the music onto the iphone. is there no way to load directly from the i-pad to the i-phone.
Transferring music etc is normally a one way process from iTunes out to the device. There is software commercially available to transfer from device to iTunes on windows or Mac OS. Google iPad to iTunes transfer to get a choice. Here is one to get started with http://www.transfer-iphone-recovery.com/transfer-music-from-ipad-to-itunes.html
well tried everything and nothing worked. in the end had to put all the cd's back on the laptop and sync the new itunes file to the iphone. even then, the only stuff that would sync to the ipad was anything in the laptop itunes that was different. it seems that i-tunes doesn't realise that the original file was deleted and seems to behave as though it still exists. very strange but hey ho, so long as i have music on the iphone
