Norton is always a waste of money.

There are many free anti-virus products that are just as good.

I use Avast, others use AVG or MSE - what does BT provide?

Waste of money. BT Internet comes with McAfee as part of the package.

I am very happy with MSE and I agree with sunny-dave's views.

BT is pushing McAfee and it doesn't come without cost.(In more ways than one)

We have BT internet, we don't like McAfee and we do like Norton, which we purchase separately. We've had no problem at all with Norton - can't understand why people are so anti it.

I use Bullguard and have been happy with them; they also provide a back-up service with their (reasonable) fee.

I used AVG free for years never had a problem, lately changed to MSE (Microsoft Essentials) and found it better, AVG seemed to be slowing down my PC. I'd never buy an anti virus ackage when there are so many free downloads online

We've had nightmares with both Mcaffee and Norton. So now we have Microsoft Essentials which is fine.

I'm a norton girl, but i always shop around for a bargain rather than pay the straight renewal price.

Nobody should be paying for security options - MSE (Win 7; Vista; XP - "Defender" if Win 8) & Malwarebytes (free & run once a week) should be enough to ensure security - IMO, of course
