I have had my HTC one mini for about 2 and half months now. It was bought new on eBay.

It had been working perfectly up until the last couple of days. On Sunday it was charging for about 6 hours and when I disconnected the charger the little red light stayed on and the battery symbol was still acting as if it was still plugged in and charging. I thought this was a bit weird so I shut down the phone and restarted it and it appereared to go back to normal.

Since then, when I plug in the phone to charge it occasionally seems to be charging ( battery symbol increases) but then it has a bolt of lightning symbol keep appearing and doesn't move up.

The latest thing that I've noticed is that a message appears saying 'the phone is using more current than the charger is providing' then something else I can't remember.

I don't know what to do now really. It was charging and working perfectly up until now.

I have emailed the seller to ask if there was a year manufacturers warranty seen as though it was brand new but I've no t had a response yet .

Any suggestions??

I had similar and phoned HTC.
Easy fix, did a factory reset.

I'll try ringing htc . I've tried factory reset but its still doing it. It just doesn't charge at all now. It also doesn't switch off either so I can't save the battery either.

There is a 24 month warranty but reading the small print it has to be the original owner that has use of the warranty.

I don't know where I stand now

Is it still worth contacting HTC?
Your only way I would say.
