Facetime On I Phone 4

my facetime wont work it rings then connects and cuts off any ideas what problem is

As I understand you have to be calling another iphone

I have just had the same problem in the last half hour. I have tried to FaceTime my daughter won't connect also have tried the iMessage (green blob) that won't deliver but email will. Just got an iMessage from her whilst I am typing. No idea why facetime would not work though.

In Settings > General > Restrictions, make sure FaceTime and Camera are on.

Any update may have changed some settings.

thanks baldric tried everything it says and no luck connects then cuts off , i used it last week to call carribean it was fine

There is a problem on. FaceTime if you are still on ios6. Go to settings / general / version to check.

Really didnt want to update to ios7 as alot of my friends that did have had problems its seems as if the I phone 4 is not up to using newer versions according to friends lots of little things goin wrong but guess I will have to find out for myself and update trouble is you can't go back to ios6 once you have updated

I did another update this morning to ios7.1.1. The latter updates have fixed the little bugs from ios6 to ios7.
