not a problem, but I can't understand why some of my contacts come up (when they ring me) as a full screen photo, whereas others come up as a small circular icon. is it somethning to do with the settings. Just makes it clearer who's ringing when I'm driving. Thanks ;)

It depends where you selected the photo for the contact. Only photos from your camera roll are displayed full screen. If your contacts were imported from an address book app such as GMail, the photo displays as a thumbnail. I have heard that if you sync your contacts to iCloud then that makes them all appear full screen, but I have never tried that.
