Linking My Laptop To My Tv ?
37 Answers
I have a modern TV but its not one of those "smart" ones. Is there a way that I can link my laptop, to the TV, and then watch the BBC iplayer on a 42" screen, rather than the laptop ?
What cable would I need, and which of the many sockets on the TV will I need to plug it into?
Even better, can it be done by some wireless connection ? ( not keen to have any more cables strung out over my living room floor )
Better still, is there some kind of gismo that I can buy that will link my TV with my broadband router, so that I can "convert" the TV into a smarter TV than it is now. All I really want to do is watch programs on the iplayer...I am not remotely interested in watching films.
I am not keen to take out any more subscriptions though !

A £10 Now box turns your tv in to a smart tv and will play iPlayer. No subscription, no extra payments unless you want to watch Sky Movies, Sport or premium Sky entertainment channels
