Ab And Virus?

I have AVG anti virus. Every time I come on AB I get a warning that AVG has removed a virus. The threat is called 'Exploit Fake Web Browser Update (type 1719)'.
Can anyone tell me why this happens?

Sounds like a dodgy fake flash player update. It might be a good idea to crosspost this into Ed's blog, for his perusal. I suspect one of AB adverts.

I'm on F/Fox and using AVG and I am not getting anything.

I kept getting those warnings Mrs O, despite running numerous Malware scans. In the end I got rid of Firefox then loaded it up on my system again .... and the threats went! Must have got a virus in FF.
