Yahoo Mail?
18 Answers
Anyone else having problems with Yahoo mail?
Mine was fine until I received 2 emails,....ads for spectacle
place, and the tick box to the left was obscured by a small pic. So I clicked on it, + then opened AdBlock and it let me slide a slidey thing until I was "happy the ad was obscured". Left it for a while, and now every single email had disappeared.
I had lots of folders, + can't see anything in them. I'll be gutted if I've lost those emails,....some of them I've had for over 10 years. :(
Please help, somebody..:(
Thanks

No expert on Adblock but doesn't it work on all websites rather than just specific ones such as Yahoo ? Click on whatever browser icon it displays (top right I think, and see what the settings are set to. Ensure it's active and not set Yahoo as whitelisted or whatever.
BTW it won't affect e-mails, it affects ads you would otherwise see when visiting the website. Only Yahoo account settings for spam will sort e-mails. But if you use a client it will have further spam recognition settings, and you can, in tandem, use something like Mail Washer for extra control.

@O-G good morning! All is sorted now thanks.
Original problem was that all the contents of inbox, sent + draft folders had disappeared, but by following Tuvok's advice I managed to fix that.
It IS possible to block ads on a certain site,..which I did with Yahoo mail + that's when it went back to normal.
I've twigged to just leave email ads in inbox, although there isn't a little box next to them to tick + delete, they will go when I do mass delete .
Cheers
