Apple Charger

My Apple iPad charger is on it's way out. The cable has stretched and the wires are held together with duck tape and hopes.

I got a new one (it is an original) and it doesn't work. I took it back and they tested it and they gave me a new one. They tested it at the shop and it worked ok. I got it home and it doesn't work.

The bloke at the shop said it could be the port but why would the old knackered one work but not the new one?

Try another one. You can get them on Amazon for almost nothing.

I tried two from the shop already.

I might have to get one from the Apple shop and see if that one works but it is a real pain going there.

I will have a look online though.

Thanks
There are counterfeit Apple accessories about. Where ever possible, buy from the Apple Store.

At the Apple store you can just buy the cable, not the whole charger.
Did they test it on your iPad?

Which iPad do you have as the chargers are different - my ipad4 charger is higher ampage than my ipad1 charger.

Tuvok you are now asking me questions above my ability lol

It just says iPad on the back of it ....

I only got the cable as the plug is OK. They told me it was a genuine Apple cable and it worked on my iPad when it was in the shop. It was just when I got it home it didn't.

I might be going to IKEA on Friday and the Apple shop is just in the shopping centre so might make an appointment and get one from them.
