Anyone Else Wish Ab Returned To How It Was Before?

friend of mine, who's a long-term user of AB, says he prefers it how it was. His biggest problem now is it no longer works on his iPad. Is he alone in that or is he missing something?

I use a laptop, and it seems to me that this new format is continually 'shouting' at me.

I don't understand how some posters think they are a genius because they found this new format easy to use ...so do I
But the way it was before I could tell at a glance what were the main threads and who was posting where.
I look in the latest posts now and the first thing I am drawn to are Avatars and names not the topic of the thread.
When opening a thread it is not instantly obvious who the OP'er is they are lost in the Facebook Twitter Google e-mail logo's.
