Because of my rural location & the fact that I am living in a rest home I am having to use a dongle to access the internet. My dongle is a Huawei E 5330-1b92. I use a 3 network data SIM card which is costing a fortune to run. I am therefore seeking alternatives & at present am looking at Virgin Mobile data SIM card. Before committing I seek the advice of any ABer on this subject. TIA.

Does the home not provide wifi to residents?

NO
How much are you currently paying and how much data do you get? How much data do you need?

Virgin uses EE so you should get a good signal

My last top up was Feb 25th 7 GB, £ 25. My remaining data is 1935 MB.
10 GB for £19 - and unused data rolls over. 12 month contract.

I'm on EE and my smartphone connects at around 40 Mbps - I see no reason why it should be any different for you, assuming you can get a good signal
