With the conviction of Darren Osbourne, evidence in court shows he was radicalised by visiting the Britain First website over several weeks.
He then went on to kill someone in a terrorist attack, and injury scores of others.

// But the trigger for the attack was far-right internet propaganda he had become obsessed with over just a few weeks. //

// Police said the 48-year-old became radicalised in just three to four weeks, as evidence from devices he used show him reading posts by the former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson, far-right group Britain First and other extremists. //

Surely this shows that Britain First crosses the line from being a genuine protest group, and firmly places them in the position that they encourage terrorism, and indoctrinate gullible fools to commit murder.

Many muslim groups have been proscribed for less. They are on par with Scottish Dawn and should be treated similarly.

Yes if the ban all the nutcase imams as well
Ban them and they go underground, form a new group or join another. Banning political groupings is pointless and we already have laws relating to inciting racial hatred.
BF should be proscribed ASAP. Its been obvious what kind of organisation is really is for many months.

Its Leaders are in Court soon, in Belfast.

But it seems that no matter what they do, they will always have some reluctant supporters on AB....the kind of people that post comments, supporting when BF make anti-Muslim tweets.
He was first radicalised by a BBC programme, http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08rgd5n

And, yes, you are right. We should ban ^them.
Spicey...what a load of old Pony. This man was a dangerous, racist nutter.........why can't you just come out and admit it ?
I'm guessing mikey didn't watch the video in his own link.
What were the other extremist groups he read up on and visited?

What other extremist groups are banned and how is that going?

Being a racist and spouting racist views doesn't mean they insite violence per sa. So have any of you visited these extremist BF sites and checked out what was said? And of course have you visited other extremist sites such as Islamic sites and done the same to compare?
" gullible fools " can be "encouraged" to do all sorts of things, -even to vote for Jeremy Corbyn.
Khandro...why attempt to divert this thread by making comments about Corbyn ?

This always happens when BF or similar racist organisations are mentioned.

Why not just condemn Osborne and the organisations that he was attracted to ?
Or read the text, Talbot.
as i said on Mikey's thread, ban ALL extremists, because this cuts both ways, Muslim and far right.
Emmie....quite a few organisations are already proscribed, and yes, you are right, if any group spreads hate and racism, yes...of course they should be banned::

Nobody nor any organisation should be banned in a free country - unless they are actually inciting violence.
We have ample laws to cover all eventualities, we already have far too many thought police trying to tell us what to do and think as they do.

Neither the Muslim Brotherhood (whom incidentally, I dislike intensely) nor the Britain First Group (whom I don't support) are actually inciting violence.

mikey; The OP contains the name of Tommy Robinson who is a good, brave man, so I see no reason not to bring in the name of Jeremy Corbyn as I see fit.
Khandro....Robinson was indeed mentioned in the OP, but Corbyn wasn't.

In fact the only person to mention his name was you, and Corbyn has nothing whatsoever to do with this thread.
If Britain First are carrying out wide spread terrorist attacks then yes ban them, but that should also apply to other groups who have actually carried out wide spread terrorist attacks, lets keep a level playing field here.
//Corbyn has nothing whatsoever to do with this thread.//

and neither does Tommy Robinson.
My mention of Corbyn was tongue in cheek, but the mention of Robinson wasn't

"Surely this shows that Britain First crosses the line from being a genuine protest group, and firmly places them in the position that they encourage terrorism, and indoctrinate gullible fools to commit murder": yes indeed and they should be banned along with all the islamic groups doing the same thing.
