OH has had his operation on Friday cancelled.
They had decided a few days ago he needed a heart scan before the op.
They say they haven't a vacant slot before Friday. It was originally said he could have the scan at Cheltenham instead of Bristol to make it easier for us. When they telephoned this morning they denied it was going to be at Cheltenham, saying they do not have means of communication at Cheltenham,
I mean what are telephones for?
He is so disappointed, he thought he was going to be sorted out so much sooner.
Sorry folks, in case you didn't know he was due a cochlear ear inplant on Friday. We had booked a hotel for two nights and friends were driving us down to Bristol and bringing us home again. So he is back on the waiting list.

Seems pretty archaic to me if your medical history is not available at all medical centres. Here, no matter which hospital/ clinic GP you visit, your history is immediately available to them when they enter your ss number, plus all medication is on your card, which you present at any chemist monthly. For retirees, a maximum of 8€ can be charged per month, no matter what medication you are on.
