Completely Locked Out Of Facebook & Fb Messenger

I have been happily posting on FB for years and have a lot FB friends on this site (they must think I'm dead). However about 10 days ago I was locked out and cannot get back in by any means whatsoever. I think it may have something to do with the new two factor authentication.
I have asked for codes to be resent, I get codes which I try and input but they always tell me it is incorrect. I have tried changing passwords and email accounts. (This applies both to FB and messenger). My partner is very IT orientated but even he cannot understand why I can't get back on - so here's a challenge for you all... :-)
There is a lot going on in my life right now whereas messenger at least would be very beneficial. The only customer service online help offered is for FB business accounts.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Has anyone any advice or solution?

Hi -a blast from the past indeed !!
Myself & the elderlies are not too well at the moment which is why I would dearly like my messenger back. As you may remember I'm not particularly techno savvy but I thought if I created another account I will lose all the previous photos, contacts, threads, posts etc which I would really rather not do.

How are you 'locked out'? i.e. what happens when you try to log in? Do you encounter an error message and, if so, what does it say?

I know someone who had her account blocked, she was believed to have been reported by another facebook user as a fake account. She had to verify her account with facebook before she was allowed back on, you might have to contact facebook and explain your problem.

No worries Bobbi, and bl***dy hell Sqad - you still alive???!!!
Anyhow.. when I say locked out, what I mean is I am unable to verify my account as when I get a code sent to my phone to reset password and I input said code, it accepts and I reset password. But then when I get a second prompt to enter the sent code again - it then tells me the code/password is incorrect.

Bizarrely this happened to me last week, after years and years with no issue whatsoever. And my husband owns an IT company and even he struggled to get me logged back in!! Managed eventually but took days!

Yes happened to me recently only because I received a dodgy text in messenger and it went to all my contacts!! Then I was locked out. I had to go through creating several new passwords before I got back in. Nightmare.
