Am disappointed to find I can no longer get my information text, you know when you go into BBC - hit the red button, green button etc. and that gives you a load of daily news, etc.

My last TV Samsung had no problem so just wonder why Sony don't have it. Thanks for any answers.

I;m just thinking would it have anything to do with Samsung only being Freeview and Sony is Smart. Mind you I can go back and forth from the freeview to Smart and it was always the Freeview that gave you this option/service.

Ah yes, pressing the TTX/MIX button does bring up the teletext menu! So they've just changed the function of the red button at the top level.

I've just checked back through the thread and jennyjoan hasn't mentioned pressing the teletext button, so maybe that is what she needs to try.

On a Sony remote it looks as if the 'Text' button (not labelled as such, but having a picture of a TV screen with 3 lines), to the bottom right of the number buttons, may be the one to press to get teletext.

JJ, I'm looking at the manual for your model and the remote does have a teletext button. Press that and not the 'red button', it is immediately above the row of coloured buttons and under 9

I've tried the TTX button on my smart Samsung. It just says not available.

Did you try going to a radio channel JJ, and then pressing the red button? Or the text button?

I tried that as well. Nothing.

Shame it works on our Sony TV, but ours is running through a YouView Humax box so maybe that's the difference.
