Moving Pictures To Desktop

I have an Acer Aspire C22 desktop and i cannot get pics from my Vodaphone mobile phone. There are a lot to move but searching everywhere on the Acer is fruitless . I have admitted in the past that i am useless with this technology. Still am sorry Chris

How are you trying to connect your phone to your computer?

Make and model of phone would probably help, too.

Using its charging lead, connect your mobile phone to a USB port on your computer. Ensure that your phone is switched on.

If you're offered options, such as 'transfer photos' or 'open folder to explore data' (or similar), you could try the 'transfer photos' one but my own preference is always use the 'open folder' one. You'll then see the contents of your mobile phone's storage. From there, you'll need to double-click on 'Photos' (or similar) and/or 'DCIM' (or similar) to get to the folder that contains your photos.

[If you don't get offered any options, as above, you can still get to the phone's contents by going to 'PC' and then double-clicking the icon for your phone, which will be seen as if it's a USB pen drive].

Once you've got to the folder containing your photos, resize the window (if necessary) so that it only takes up part your screen. Then open (or create) the destination folder that you want to copy the photos to. Once again, resize it if necessary, so that the two folders are then shown side by side on your screen.

Next, select the files that you want to transfer from the folder on your phone. (If you want to move the lot, select one and then press Ctrl and A together. If you want to move a block of them, click on the first one in the block and then hold the Shift key down while clicking on the last one). Then simply 'drag and drop' the selected files from one folder to the other.
