Try unplugging the PC at the wall. Leave for 10 mins. During this time make sure all your cables are connected securely. Plug it back in and turn it on.
Let us know what happens.

ok - thanks all for help - typing this on the computer but is still not allowing me on the culprit site and I will just leave that alone - as long as I can get onto my other sites.
the only thing is I do use Edge browser and have been doing so for some time but it is too too slow
Can anybody advise a better browser
I have used
Edge
Internet Explorer
Firefox
Google Chrome
so a better one would be great.
Thanks again.

Glad you are back on :)
As long as you don't need the culprit site. Have you tried accessing it on a different browser?
Not sure why Edge should be running slowly, can you describe what you mean a bit more?
The other main browsers Chrome and Firefox you already mentioned - do those run slow as well or did you not like them?

Lol that is quite a bit of email jj.
If you are accessing them online it shouldn't be the cause of the issue, but if you have the email account open in a tab all the time it might not be helping speeds.
I would try clearing the cache as in the link as a first step. See if that helps. You might nee to reboot the PC after,

I use Slimjet as my main web browser. It's Chromium-based, so you can use Chrome plugins with it, but it comes with a built-in ad blocker (which can, of course, be disabled when using The Answerbank, etc) and a built-in YouTube video downloader, as well a download manager and many other features.
