The mojo mag.crossword wants a scan of the completed crossword,how do  you scan using this phone,i know how to take a photo and send it to the address given but not a scan.Thanks in advance for any help.

A scan is, to all intents and purposes, a photo anyway (although, when using a proper scanner, one can usually choose to use a pdf format instead of a jpeg one, if required).

If the competition rules permit a scan in jpeg format, you can simply take a photo of the document.  If you're required to submit your entry in pdf format, you can do so via Google Drive:
