Ive Just Reset My Mums Laptop & Cant Find The 'Move To' Or 'Copy To' Buttons??

Its an asus vivobook 17 on win10

On my others, there were 2 buttons just above the window of Windows explorer - & when clicked on they brought up a list of places on the computer where i could choose a folder.

With this the look of it is different, different icons etc & it has buttons like copy & paste, rename, share etc.

Ive tried looking for ways to access settings & personalise this but i cant seem to find it.

Can anyone help?

thanks :)

Do you mean File Explorer?

Try

Step 1: Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager.

Step 2: Go to the Processes tab then find Windows Explorer in the Apps section.

Step 3: Right-click Explorer then choose Restart.

These features were discontinued in Windows 10. If your machine has these it's likely you have not updated it in awhile.

Chat GPT reports: Windows 10 does not include the "Move To" and "Copy To" buttons in File Explorer by default. These options can be added manually by modifying the Windows Registry.

Step by step instructions for modifying the registry can be gotten by asking Chat GPT. https://chatgpt.com
