If You Had A Twin, But Didn't Realise...

I am looking to buy a 32" Plasma or LCD TV. Budget around 1000. Can anybody advise me if plasma is better than LCD, what the difference is etc.
Also, are there any particular models that anybody can recommend at all? I am especially keen on watching sports (football) and am keen to avoid 'drag' and 'shadowing'. Thanks in advance.

If you are looking to buy a 32" I would recommend the LG 32LX2R which you can get for under 900. Look up reviews on the net and you'll see this is an exceptional product.
Hope this helps.
Plasma TV's may have a better picture, but don't last as long.
Also, they are expensive to repair, I have this on good authority, from the TV repairman who fixed our telly.
Visit www.pixmania.com, as they have some good offers.
I have just bought a 37"plasma although my intention originally was to buy an LCD. It would be rarish to find a 32" plasma so my advice is to look at LCD only. I only bought the plasma because it came with a 5 year all singing/all dancing guarantee
As a generalisation LCDs are lighter in weight than plasmas and last longer but there can be viewing difficulties when sitting to one side(say between the 150 and 180 arc).
Use www.pricerunner.co.uk site(as a start) to give you a good general idea of price and what each model offers. www.totaldigital.org (a birmingham based company) do very competitive prices.
I recommend you use 'ask jeeves' to ask"where can i buy an LCD television". That should give you a good start.
