Windows remembering passwords

In Windows, if you key a password and user name etc into a website it asks if you want the computer to remember it, and next time you just key the first letter and it auto fills it for you. If when it asks you this you say no, you always then have to fill out the entire thing. I've changed my mind, and I now want it to prompt me again to remember it, but since I originally said no it won't ask me again. Is there anyway of sort of refreshing this so that it asks me and saves my password?

Possibly clear your cookies folder.........if you haven't done this then the site will still think you don't want the save password thing....try it ........commoner

Depends what browser you are using, which one is it?

In Internet Explorer go to Tools>Internet Options>Content>AutoComplete and then under 'Use AutoComplete for..' click 'Prompt me to save passwords'.

WoWo I'm using IE version 6.

LostSheep I've tried that what you suggest but this is my work computer and most of our options have been locked down so I don't have that option. If that's where it's controlled I'll probably just have to admit defeat.

Lostsheeps example should work in IE6 so it might be locked down by the administrator.
