Wide screen films
2 Answers
My TV has a wide setting but still most of the films on DVD or Sky movies are too wide.
Is this just inevitable or do some TV's have the settings necessary. I mean mine has a "wide" setting and it seems to default depending on what's on. Can some expert explain what's happenning here? Do the modern wide screen TV's have the width for proper movie width as seen at the flicks?

Some films you buy will have large black bars and some wont have any. Look at the ratio on the back of the dvd's, and try to determine which ratio works best on your tele. Some of the DVD's I have, had no bars on my old widescreen tele, but do have them on my new widescreen tele.
