PC Game will not run - Help!!

Can any one help me ........have loaded Battle for middle earth2 - It will not run have downloaded patch but guess problem may be our graphic card Intel 82845g I am not a computer buff - can I buy an new card - & what would I buy for an at home PC where most memory is used by kids & their games ( my usage just boring old household accounts!!) Thank Guys!
