Often when I plug in at the mains and switch on, my monitor fails to start. However, when I unplug, replug and switch back on it does. As I do nothing different the second or third times I plug n can anyone offer an explanation?

I hope this doesn't sound patronising, but have you checked the mains lead connections in the plug and whether the other end is securely plugged into the back of the terminal?
