Wireless with 2 x routers
3 Answers
bear with me guys, i dont think im going to explain this well. due to poor wireless internet reception in my house - long distance between phoneline and second computer - i was thinking of introducing a second router (gateway?) to bridge the connection and improve the signal. how do i go about this? is it just a question of placing the second router where i want and 'connecting' the second pc to it in windows?!! sorry for the poorly written question.

What you can do is put it a Wireless Access Point, which will then connect wirelessly back to your router, but also to your nearby laptop.

It can be done, you need something called Wireless Distribution System, but it's not easy and I don't think all routers are capable. There's some instructions for the popular Linksys WRT54G here.
