Transmissible Trojan?

I'm using a Belkin wireless modem/router at home. One desktop computer is connected to the computer via an ethernet cable and the other desktop picks up the internet wirelessly via it's on board card.

My daughter, who lives elsewhere, has a laptop which has been infected by a trojan despite having a trial version of NIS and the free version of AVG installed. She's asked me to eliminate the trojan off the laptop, which I don't anticipate I'll have problems with.

Both desktop computers are firewalled via NIS/ Zone Alarm and use NIS and AVG respectively as Anti-Virus. The Belkin has all the security options set up with full encryption etc.

My question is, could this trojan be transmissible to the desktop's wirelessly if I bring the laptop into the house? The last thing I want to do is to have it on my computers too!

Theoretically yes, but it'll depend on the way that the trojan works. However, it's unlikely if you're sufficiently protected (and you do seem to be).

Thanks fo3nix. She brought the laptop to me earlier and I think I managed to eliminate the Trojan - I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
