AVI Files

I have downloaded an AVI file but my Nero wont let me burn. It plays ok on my laptop. Help. K.

Hi musicmummy,

Can you give any more info for the problem.

What version of Nero are you using?
Are you burning as a CD or DVD?
How big is the file?
When you try to burn the file, what sort of messages is Nero giving you to show that you cannot burn the file?

If you can give as much info as possible, it will make it easier to find the problem.

As far as I know, some progs such as Nero come fully equipped to deal with all sorts of files but they don't actually work fully until you pay lots of cash to unlock those features.

There are reportedly... ach, I've said too much.

I just had another go and its burnt this time, its playing on windows media player but i aint got the chance to try it in the dvd player yet, fingers crossed. i shall let you all know. thank you K x

update- just put it in my dvd player, i get a screen up with two folders with the words root beside them.
put it in another dvd player and it wont load, says bad disc, but i reckon that dvd player is not region free, one more dvd player to try, will let you know, K.
