Best Music Download Site

Can I please have your views as to the best free music download site out there. I tried Kazaa some time ago which was OK but I was not 100% happy with the attached adverts/spyware. Also I've heard some horror stories about viruses being downloaded with the music. I just subscribed to an anytime account so can now download without running up the phone bill. Any help gratefully received.

my sister uses imesh but i don't know how she got it in the first place... also just lately literally ALL the songs she's been trying to get have been done over by the record companies. about 1 song in 50 (and i'm not exagerating) works... i used to use winmx but can't be bothered anymore...

I use WinMx and find it pretty reliable. Very easy to use and no problems with spyware or viruses (so far at least and I have been using it for a very long time).

I have tried them all.....from the early days of Napster through Limewire, E donkey, Kazaa (and lite) and have settled on this solution.

WinMX ( http://www.winmx.com ) is by far the best system to use for a combination of ease of use, results and features....I also have Morpheus to pick up on the odd things that WinMX misses out on.

You might want to try Soulseek, it has absoloutly loads of songs but comes with none of the Adware and Spyware like Kazaa does. I have tried many music downloading sites but found this one to be the best

In the past I have used Napster,Winmx,Imesh and Kazaa,but now tend to use only Kazaa Lite.I have had a few downloads that contained viruses,but my AV software always captures it and deletes it.Imesh was my favourite,but as becks mentioned,many of the songs are dodgy.
