Lost camera usb lead

Basically what it says in the title. Can I buy another lead to put pics from my camera onto the computer? My mums got a camera and lead but her lead doesn't fit my camera and I wouldn't know where to buy one that fits my cam.

Google "USB Leads" or, better still, go to your local Maplin or PC World with your mum's camera and they will soon fix you up.

I'd go with the card reader option also

However ... almost always cameras use a standard lead... (buy a canon lead - and it will cost �10000.00 - get a standard USB 2.0 A to Mini B Lead which will cost you �2 or �3)

the upside is ... the camera doesn't need power while you transfer pikkies
the downside is you are constantly opening the mem compartment so eventually it won't stay shut
(but that goes for the batteries also!)

also push/pulling the mem card in/out will eventually wear and tarnish the contacts
(and that goes for the usb lead also)

a new USB lead and/or card reader are both so cheap ... that if you are not careful ... you'll end up paying more postage than the unit price.
Check first - but I think I'd just nip down to jessops, PC world or Maplins

take the camera with you ... and that way you are certain that you'll get the one that fits

I agree with ZebUK -a card reader is a better option-it also transfers pics faster too. They are also available at ASDA for 'very good price'.......

K I've found the lead now but thanks anyway. I don't really have any problems with the lead (apart from losing it ...) so I'll probably just keep using this tbh.
