hi .i know how peer to peer works as i use bit torrents and i know that you usually download and upload on torrents, but i've recently discovered peer to peer streaming .does anyone know if the same rules apply to this. for example when streaming a programme on p2p are you uploading and downloading constanf ?in other words.does this count towards your monthly download limit with your internet service provider ??

All internet traffic which comes through your phone line (or cable service) counts towards your total usage. That includes e-mails, web browsing, downloading from Youtube, P2P downloads, P2P streaming and everything else. Your ISP simply records the number of bytes which is sent to you. Even though P2P networks bypass central websites, they can't bypass your connection to the internet through your ISP.
