i saw a mouse once that didn't need a surface, think it was aimed at laptops. you kind of held with a finger through the back of it and your thumb working a ball. does anyone know what this is called or where i can find it?
I haven't seen the hand held type recently, but there are lots of the type that sit flat on the desk around. PC world have many, but they'll be cheaper at computer fairs. They used to be called 'trackballs'.
Go to somewhere like PC World, Staples etc. My trackball isn't handheld, which I find easier, less wrist strain than using normal mouse. Logitech do a good range
