My wife and I have a Sony Ericsson K510i phone. When in Denmark we are not able to phone the UK but we are able to text. We cannot receive calls from Danish numbers but can received texts. We are able to receive calls from the UK. To date neither Vodafone or Sony Ericsson can give us an explanation/reason. There are no call-bars on and we use the Vodafone recommended network in Denmark. We have used the phone normally in bothe Madeira and Malta. Any wise folk out there with an answer please?

My GUESS would be a Vodafone/Denmark Network affiliation issue.
If certain things get through - calls/text - then it is not the phone.
From what I can see, the problem is on the Denmark Network sidenot allowing/recognizing the Vodafone access requests?

Hi, and thanks for your suggestion. The local Vodafone shop said that Vodafone does not have a roaming agreement with Denmark. Yet, a friend using Vodafone is able to use her phone normally! A curious business.
