photo's on a CD

I have my holiday photos on a CD-R and I would like to view them through my computer but it only comes up to copy them on to a CD.
I have a computer upstairs with the same system and this one allows me to view them. Please help, I do not want all my friends trooping upstairs!

insert cd, left click on 'my computer', right click on CD drive and left click on explore, should bring up various programs to view files

It might help of course it you said what operating system you were using, or at least whether it's Windows or Mac

Thankyou Chas, I have done what you said but it does not come up with anything for viewing.
My upstair computer just says view in a slide show which is fine.

possible cd drive faulty /dirty ???? just a thought , tried another CD ? im in charge of 6 PC,S on site & through lack of use none of the CD drives work,mainly due to the enviroment here dirt/dust is the problem, actually bought an external drive to load programs..

Thanx Chas, Not sorted but think I know the problem. Have discovered I have different digital camera software on my other computer. Going to install it and fingers crossed.

Chas, just to let you know that I am now sorted. I can now open them in Finepix Viewer and view slide show.
