If you mean the free space on your hard drive, go to My Computer and highlight the hard drive (normally "C"). It should tell you the free space in the blue panel on the left. If you are seeing a list of folders there, click the "Folders" icon on the menu bar at the top to change the view.

If it still doesn't show, right click on hard drive & press Properties, sure fire way to get it up. From there there's also a Disk Cleanup button that'll get rid of everything temporary (internet files etc) which will free some space, but not always much. Get rid of a few old games or documents, or archive them on cd.
