Can anyone recommend a reputable site (not necessarily free) that I can use to transfer my own cds to mp3 -saving me carrying loads of cds when going on holidays?
I use Sonic Record Now but i think most burning software will burn to cd in mp3 format. There should be an option at the start of the program to burn as a data cd. When you burn as a data cd it will convert it to mp3 automatically so that you can fit well over 100 tracks on one cd.
if you want to rip cds try dBpowerAMP Music Converter - its free http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm
however some new music cds include protection to stop you ripping them. There is a commercial solution that gets round the protection called AnyDVD.
