wireless laptop problem

I have a wireless broadband connection on my laptop but every sooften(about every 10-15 mins) the connection is lost although the wireless system is reading that the connection is "excellent". This only lasts for about 30 seconds to a minute but it is getting really frustrating. Any ideas?
